My kiddo is 15 months old, 97th percentile for height with a long torso. I ordered size 12-18 and it was the perfect fit (for what I was looking for) - we use the rashguard when we play outside (in southern Arizona) to protect from UV rays and keep her cool from evaporation (she likes to play in our fountain, sprinkler, hose, etc.). LOVE the full zip - we had a rashguard that we had to pull over her head before and she HATED it. This is such a breeze to put on, making it way more likely that her dad and I will actually do it. The best protection is the one you will use!
