Thehat protected me from the sun on my whole head and neck also the hat is light and cool. It doesn’t make you sweat like some hat's do. I wear it playing golf. A great hat.

I use this as a cover up to protect my shoulders from the sun, I also have been using it after I surf to throw on top of myself to change/ I like how it can be shortened to be a shirt or extended to be more like a dress. Love it!
