4th of July is such a fun time filled with family, food, and celebration! Today we're walking you through some easy, kid-friendly crafts you can do with your kids to kick start your celebrations and spark their creativity! These are great for kids of any age.
Patriotic Wind Streamer:
These are great for your kids to bring along to the parade to keep them entertained while they wait for all the glorious candy! They can blow in to them to show off the patriotic streamers or you can attach a string to the top so they can run around with it (and burn off some energy ;)
Here's what you'll need:
Step 1- Lay down a piece of paper to make clean up easier then paint your rolls blue.
Step 2- Cut streamers to your desired length (the shorter they are the easier it is to move them when you blow through the top).
Step 3- Once rolls are completely dry apply your star stickers.
Step 4- Tape steamers to inside of roll alternating red and white streamers.
Sparkling Firework Ring:
You can easily pick up a big package of festive pipe cleaners (we found these at Hobby Lobby) for your child to make an entire collection of rings to pass around to their friends and family during your celebrations!
Step 1- Cut 6 pipe cleaner approximately 8" long then fold them in half.
Step 2- Wrap extra piece of pipe cleaner around all your pieces.
Step 3- Bend all the pieces outward to create a firework effect.
Don't forget to wear you SwimZip while you're enjoying the outdoors this 4th of July!
We hope you all have a safe and fun holiday!
